Subway Sans is a contemporary revival of the New York City Transit Authority’s iconic dot-matrix signage—reimagined as a fully featured digital type family for modern usage. Drawing on the precise, modular grid of the original LED screens, Subway Sans balances rigorous geometry with subtle human-like nuance, so that every headline feels simultaneously engineered and alive.
Whether you’re crafting posters, apps, or experimental practice, Subway Sans brings the pulse of NYC’s underground network into your toolkit—bridging the heritage of the old LED boards with the clarity of today’s digital displays.
